How much does it cost to view the records?
Our credits give you access to all content within censusrecords.com. This guide shows how many credits each type of content costs to view for each package option
Subscriptions
If you chose the one of the subscription options, you have unlimited access to records*. You will receive an email shortly before your next payment is due. You can cancel auto-renew in the Personal Details section under the Account menu at any time.
Pay As You Go (Using Credits)
You search for free but pay to view images and full transcripts as you need them. Once viewed an item is yours. You can view it, print it and download it as often as you like. For $7.95 you receive 1000 credits that can be used over multiple visits. It works similarly to a prepaid phone card. The number of credits required for a record varies (from 1 to 50 credits) depending on the type of record you want to purchase. The chart below summarizes the credits a transcription and image cost. We will notify you 14 days before your credits expire.
